Namibia Edition 1.0
When it comes to raw, untamed landscapes, Namibia stands in a league of its own — and this is a true Tripperati hero trip for travellers who crave space and soul-stirring scenery. Expect endless desert horizons, remote lodges in dramatic terrain, unreal wildlife encounters, and long, quiet drives where the landscape becomes the experience.
This is a road-heavy, immersive journey for those who value depth over indulgence — comfortable, character-led stays, limited connectivity that pulls you into the moment, and the kind of unpredictability that comes with venturing far from the ordinary.

Curated moments that define the journey
YOU are either the driver or the navigator! Maps in hand, we chart our own route through Etosha National Park, read the land & track waterholes. This self-drive safari is going to be wildly rewarding! We stop when we want, wait when it feels right, & let the sightings unfold!
A powerful, up-close encounter at a Cheetah Conservation unit. Learn about cheetah behaviour, survival, and protection — and witness these incredible animals in a way that’s respectful, educational, and deeply moving.
A rare cultural exchange at a traditional Himba village, offering insight into one of Namibia’s most iconic indigenous communities. Learn about their customs, daily life, and traditions in an experience that’s intimate, respectful, and eye-opening.
A playful, unforgettable paddle in the cold Atlantic at Walvis Bay, where curious Cape fur seals swim, splash, and pop up right beside your kayak. Light-hearted, interactive, and surprisingly peaceful — a wildlife encounter that’s pure joy.
An adrenaline-filled drive through towering coastal dunes, where the desert dramatically meets the Atlantic Ocean. A surreal, ever-shifting landscape that feels wild, cinematic, and completely otherworldly.
Explore ancient Bushman rock art with local guides, wander through natural arches and rock formations, and soak in golden-hour views that make this one of Namibia’s most photogenic landscapes.
We ditch the shuttle transfers to Deadvlei. Instead you deflate your tyres and drive straight into the sand. An exhilarating off-roading experience as you navigate soft sand and open tracks.
Your 10-day Namibian journey
Welcome to Windhoek! You’ve arrived in Namibia’s capital. After landing, pick up the vehicles, settle into your stay. Meet your fellow Tripperatis for a quick briefing and dinner as you prepare for the adventure ahead!
Rev up the engines as we begin our journey north toward Etosha National Park. First stop is a Cheetah excursion at a conservation unit & later we visit a Himba village.
Today, we do a full day game drive but the Tripperati way — we do a full day self-drive Game Drive!
We drive toward one of Namibia’s most iconic landscapes. Often called the “Matterhorn of Namibia” - Spitzkoppe
We drive west toward the Atlantic, where desert meets ocean in Swakopmund — a coastal town with a surprising German influence. A very different side of Namibia which you might not be expecting!
We begin the day kayaking alongside hundreds of seals . We then stopover at red/pink ponds of Walvis Bay Salt Works, followed by a stop at Pelican Point. Followed by thrilling drive through dunes to Sandwich Harbour, one of the only places on earth where the desert meets the ocean.
Today’s drive takes us through a special stop as we cross the Tropic of Capricorn. We head to Solitaire, a tiny, iconic desert stop known for its legendary apple pie, rusted vintage cars, and middle-of-nowhere charm
Today is all about Red dunes of Sossusvlei, the surreal white pan of Deadvlei, and the iconic climb up Dune 45 and maybe even Big Daddy.
We begin our drive back to Windhoek, taking the spectacular Spreetshoogte Pass — one of Namibia’s steepest & most scenic mountain passes. We descend toward the capital and that brings the journey full circle!
Final goodbyes, cribbing about going back to reality. Drop off the rental cars at the airport & flight back or extend your trip elsewhere!
